If a recurring payment is no longer required, it can be permanently cancelled. This is useful when a service or subscription is no longer being provided or a customer's contract has ended. **NOTE:** Before a recurring payment can be cancelled, **it must first be paused**. For more information, see the article: Pause a Recurring Payment ### Cancel a Recurring Payment 1\. Visit the [Recurring Payments History](https://support.cashflow.io/view-recurring-payment-history?hsLang=en) page and locate the recurring payment you wish to cancel with the paused status in orange. A confirmation window will appear.
