Cashflow.io's payment requests allow you to easily and securely request payments from your customers. Whether you're sending invoices, or offering early payment discounts, our platform streamlines the entire process, helping you get paid faster while offering your customers flexible options.
Creating a payment request
To create a payment request, follow these steps:
1. On the Home page, click the RECEIVE card.
2. Click the Request Payment card. You will be directed to the Request Payment page.
- Amount - Enter the amount of the payment request and select the appropriate currency (if required).
- Payment Methods - Select the payment methods you wish to accept for this payment request (credit cards, EFT/ACH, etc.).
- Customer Details - Enter the customer's name, email, phone number (optional) and any comments or notes (optional).
- Invoice Number - Enter an invoice number (optional).
- Offer Payment Terms - Offer your customers a payment plan via multiple installments, with or without interest fees. Customers can pay the full balance right away or accept your extended payment terms. Learn more.
- Early Payment Discount - Encourage your customers to pay faster by offering them a discount if they pay sooner. Learn more.
- File & Document Attachment - Choose to send a file attached to the payment request.
- Automated Collections - Automatically send payment reminders to your customer at the interval you choose until the payment request is paid.
4. Once the payment request details have been completed, select Send Request. An email notification will be queued and then sent to your contact informing them of the payment request.
Managing your payment requests
Once a payment request is created, it will be visible in the Receivables History list with the current status. Selecting a transaction in the Receivables History list allows you to view and edit certain details of that transaction. Different options are available depending on the transaction's current status:
- Resend the payment request
- See the progress of a contact's bank transfer
Cancelling a payment request
