Managing Sales Tax

This article explains how to manage sales tax settings specifically for eQuotes. By properly configuring sales tax in your eQuotes, you can ensure accurate tax calculations and streamline your invoicing process. Follow the steps below to customize and apply sales tax settings to your eQuotes.

Creating Sales Taxes

In this section, you will learn how to create a sales tax. When creating a sales tax, you must have the correct tax rate, tax number or the government’s tax ID, and the tax code.

  1. On the upper right of the page, click the Account Menu and select Settings.
  2. You will be directed to the Account Settings page. Click Sales Taxes to manage the sales taxes.
  3. Click the + ADD SALES TAX button to open the Add window.
  4. Specify the required tax details:
    1. Tax Rate: enter the tax rate in percentage.
    2. Tax Code: enter the appropriate tax code.
    3. Tax Number: enter the relevant tax number/tax ID.
  5. After specifying the sales tax details, click SAVE.

Editing Sales Taxes

In this section, you will learn how to edit/update existing sales taxes.

  1. On the upper right of the page, click the Account Menu and select Settings.
  2. You will be directed to the Account Settings page. Click Sales Taxes to manage the sales taxes.
  3. You will be directed to the Sales Taxes page. Find the sales tax that you want to update and click its Edit (Pen) icon.
  4. The Edit tax window will appear. Update the tax details and click SAVE to apply the changes.

Deleting Sales Taxes

In this section, you will learn how to delete/remove sales taxes.

  1. On the upper right of the page, click the Account Menu and select Settings.
  2. You will be directed to the Account Settings page. Click Sales Taxes to manage the sales taxes.
  3. You will be directed to the Sales Taxes page. Find the sales tax that you want to delete and click its Delete icon.
  4. A Confirmation dialogue box will appear. Click DELETE to continue deleting the selected sales tax.
